A collaborative project of CIRES (Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences) and NOAA (the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration), the Climate Diagnostics Center (CDC) strives "to identify the nature and causes of climate variations, on time scales ranging from a month to centuries" so as to predict future climate.
