Reviewer Comments:

This is a very creative resource that examines some key events in United States History. The play touches on the Declaration of Independence, the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the Civil Rights Movement. The premise of the play is a dialogue between a student who is questioning the importance of studying United States History and key historical figures. The play would be a great way to get lots of student participation and to introduce or review some significant events. There is no lesson plan so it would be valuable for a teacher to think about how it would best support specific learning objectives. There are a few formatting issues that would need to be fixed prior to handing it out to students.

Interesting way to incorporate drama and history. This looks like it could be a good readers theatre for an American History class.
