Reviewer Comments:

In this five week activity, middle school students will research environmental issues in their community, then write songs in each of the four topics: environment, conservation, ecotourism, and motivation. This plan includes clear goals, objectives and procedures. Evaluation is mentioned, but left very vague. This resource could be improved by including scaffolding resources, as this can be a daunting project for students to manage. There is no mention of exactly how songs are to be practiced and recorded, and this would require some advanced planning by the teacher. This resource will be engaging to middle school students and will no doubt result in some excellent final products.
