#### Description:

In this activity, students are introduced to real word applications of ratio and proportion through cooking with recipes. Students are given a recipe which yields three dozen cookies. They are then asked to calculate how much of each ingredient they need to make 9 dozen cookies, and walked through each step of the solution. The activity ends by asking students to work on their own to find the recipe for 12 dozen, 4 dozen, and 7 and 1/2 dozen cookies.
