Reviewer Comments:

This 11-lesson unit is intended for second grade, but could easily be adapted for use in other early elementary classrooms. Throughout the unit, students will work collaboratively as they explore what a magnet is, what kinds of objects are magnetic, and how magnets are used in everyday life. In addition, they will become more familiar with the scientific process by recording predications, results and conclusions. Each lesson is aligned with the National Science Education Standards and includes clear objectives, procedures, and assessment suggestions. All references vocabulary card and handouts are included as attachments. The handouts are exceptionally clear and organized to match the objectives of each lesson.
