Highlights plans to develop a recommendation system for iLumina. It begins with a very brief overview of the project, then discusses the diversity of resources in iLumina, as well as the diversity of information about those resources. The premise is that this information can benefit various services in the library, one being recommendations. After that we outline how these diverse information sources can be used to underpin various recommendation schemes. Finally we note some challenges to implementing the schemes, then ways of solving these problems. Content derived from short paper accepted at JCDL 2001, where this presentation was made.
