Description:

Children of alcoholics and drug dependent parents have strengths and limitations like any other early adolescent. They are unique in that their family experiences often cause them take on certain roles at home that spill over into the classroom. Understanding those roles gives educators insight into how to create relationships and reach these students in the classroom.
