Reviewer Comments:

This engaging interactive allows learners the opportunity to explore concepts in gas pressure.  Each simulation provides space for learners to write short answer responses based on what they observe. There are also multiple-choice questions that provide immediate feedback.  There are options to manipulate number of atoms, pressure, volume and temperature in the various modules.  The final panel allows users to model to manipulate variables in order to construct an explanation for why weather balloons burst at very high altitudes.  At the end of the module, you can “generate a report” which organizes all questions and responses on a single page which can then be printed out and, presumably, turned in as assessment.  The entire module takes a suggested 45 minutes and is best suited for late middle or high school.  You can see more such interactives at http://mw.concord.org/nextgen/#interactives
