Description:

This laboratory exercise investigates the relationship between light energy incident on a leaf and the rate of photosynthesis measured by CO2 uptake with an infrared CO2 analyzer. Measurement of chlorophyll fluorescence reveals to students how light energy is transduced during photosynthetic reactions.
