This resource is a PowerPoint presentation on electron configuration appropriate for a high school level classroom. It covers topics on the four quantum numbers, orbitals, energy levels, the Bohr model, noble gases, the Aufbau principle, the Pauli exclusion principle, arrow-orbital diagrams, Hund’s rule, Lewis electron diagrams, and the electromagnetic spectrum. The presentation does reference particular worksheets and a specific teacher’s classroom, but if you can overlook this, it is a good basic primer on electron configuration for any classroom. Three worksheets are also included in this collection, although no answer keys are provided.
