Exploring topics that range from soil to the solar system, this site provides participants the opportunity to increase their science content knowledge and develop new understandings of how this content connects to K-6 classrooms. The course is made up of eight sessions built around a video presentation. In addition, each session includes an introduction, a in-depth look at two selected topics, ideas that children have about the subject, and the featured classroom, teacher, lesson and curriculum. Teachers can register for the course and either buy the videos or view them on the Annenberg Channel, a free satellite channel for schools, colleges, libraries, public broadcasting stations, public access channels, and other community agencies.
