Description:

Water is a precious commodity everywhere, especially west of the Mississippi River in the US and in many other countries around the world. Using a modified version of the Kohler–Nordenson–Fox equation (1955), this Demonstration calculates how much water evaporates from a pool or a pond as a function of the dimensions of a rectangular container, the wind speed, humidity, and vapor pressure of water.
