Reviewer Comments:

This resource contains five rubrics. The first one for writing is simple and defines an excellent, a good, an average, and an unacceptable response. The article reaction rubric has already been reviewed as an excellent resource useful in in Social Studies, providing specific directions with fact based and critical thinking questions. The notebook rubric is a template to fill in regarding self-monitoring and accountability for completeness, neatness, creativity, organization and dates. The Rubistar scoring guide is an external link to a site that this sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. It requires logging in and helps you create your own rubrics. The last rubric is a map activity. It is student friendly and designed for group work. The map is very specific and tells the students exactly what needs to be labeled and how it will be assessed. This collection is useful, complete and adaptable.
