Description:

This module was designed to provide teachers with activities that allow students to explore topics related to the Sun-Earth Connection. It provides a full range of activities for grades 3-12 so that teachers may see how the single topic of magnetism can evolve in sophistication as the student matures. Teachers are invited to use the activities as-is, or to modify them as needed to suit their particular objectives. The resource is designed for use in conjunction with one's current curriculum as individual lessons or as a unit. It includes a chart designed to assist teachers in integrating the activities with existing curricula and National Science Standards. Throughout the lessons are activities that require students to make observations and record their findings in science learning logs, journals, or by organization into charts or graphs.
