Three simulations of Mendelian inheritance patterns in Fast Plants are included in this webpage from the Wisconsin Fast Plants Program. One models simple inheritance with only the phenotype revealed so that students can gather data from which to build their own mental model to explain the data. There is also a version of this same simulation that reveals both phenotype and genotype. The third simulation includes an option for mono and dihybrid inheritance. These simulations can be used with or without germinating and/or growing Fast Plants, though they were designed to augment students' experiences observing these patterns in the plants.
