Description:

Produced by the National Science Foundation in collaboration with Discover Magazine and with some help from Disney, this site is designed to help young users learn some things about the world around them. The site uses a kid-friendly design to answer questions and offers activities and humorous but informative animations related to queries such as "why do airplanes fly?" "why does the moon change shape" and "why does it lightning?" among others. On the whole, the site is rather modest, but it should interest inquisitive young users, and perhaps more topics will be added over time.
