Graphic Organizer/Worksheet, Other

I teach high school Chemistry and my students often question me about the elements and why we don\'t learn more about them. I came up with this activity to do on days before holidays. Often times I don\'t want to finish up a lesson or start a lesson the day before a holiday because of absent students. I created this activity to do with students and answer their questions about the elements. I have included 2 sets of questions that I do on different days and they each cover different elements. I created flash cards using this periodic table on this site http://mentalfloss.com/article/502751/illustrated-periodic-table-shows-how-we-regularly-interact-each-element. Each student is given one card or cards depending on number of students in your class. Each student is given a sheet (Find the Element Who). I give students a few minutes to see if they know any before we get started. Then I have them mingle around the room. Students have to talk to each other about what is on their cards and fill out their sheets.
