Reviewer Comments:

This wonderful 3 day resource provides literacy lesson plans for before, during and after the 100th day of school. In preparation, the teacher reads descriptive clues for children to guess what might be in a 100th day of school bottle. The teachers guides the students to the correct guess and then sends the student home with a bottle, labels, a parent letter, templates for writing descriptive clues and a writing frame to describe the contents of his or her bottle. Some topics and questions ask for comparison about similarities, differences, weight, space, sound, color, shape and smell. In the end, students write a page for a class book that is published, making the 100th day of school a literary as well as a mathematical day.
