This learning activity from the Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center (ATEEC) allows students the opportunity to visit a brownfield site and observe the physical status of the site while determining its past and potential future uses. The field activity should take about three hours, and two class periods may be then set aside for completion of follow-up reports.
