This resource is a template for assessing and defending one’s stand in a debate. The student is asked to write down the reasons he or she takes on his or her position. The statement argued here is, Practice Makes Perfect, but this format can be used with any debate. Once students rank themselves on a rubric, they write their positions and group with others for discussion purposes. Finally, they complete the template.
