This task provides an opportunity for learners to practice adding unit fractions whose denominators is a factor of the others. Two random cards are chosen, added using equivalent fractions and their sums recorded on a line plot. At the completion of the task students reflect on the results. and make predictions about how the activity could be altered to get different results.
