Description:

In this activity, learners will use satellite data to investigate the biological health of the ocean. Using a color scale, learners will study ocean color data from NASA's Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS) to evaluate the biological activity in the ocean outside of six harbors in the United States. Links to the images are provided. This activity is part of the Event-Based Science (EBS): Remote Sensing Activities
