This Global History and Geopgraphy I-SC clurriculum prosposed by Robin Whitton and Patricia McMahon will provide a foundation to better suit the students needs. The followin topics mirror the major aspects of the Massapequa and New York State Global History and Geography. Skills that will be covered are Sequencing, Cause/Effect, Main Idea/Details, Catergorizing, Paraphrashing, Analyzing/Interpreting Documents, Paragraph/Essay writing Test Taking Startegies and Map Skills.

Although tailored to New York state standards, the information provided would be beneficial to any instructor who is covering similar topics. The document includes objectives, essential questions, content maps and calendars, and detailed information (key vocabulary, activities, etc.) for each unit. The course covers topics ranging from ancient civilizations through the scientific revolution.
