Scope & Sequence


This guide offers a curriculum for the Languages Other Than English instruction of Spanish students in Level 4. The course is designed for students who have completed Spanish 3 successfully and have opted to further their linguistic and cultural understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. This course is specifically designed for the level 4 student who does not wish to obtain college credit. The emphasis of this course will be to introduce them to cultural topics while expanding their vocabulary and strengthening their grammar. An additional goal of the course is to promote an understanding, tolerance, and appreciation of cultural differences. This course incorporates the New York State Standards and the National Standard for Languages other than English.
