Reviewer Comments:

This resource tells the stories of five great middle school level books – Leviathan, by Scott Westerfeld; Sources of Light, by Margaret McMullan; When You Reach Me, by Rebecca Stead; Also Knows As Harper, by Ann Haywood Leal; The Dreamer, by Pam Munoz Ryan and Peter Sis. Each book is reviewed – it is summarized and a “scoop” about the themes of each book is provided. Each book links to an external website, www.storyscoops.com, which offers more information about each book. It also provides content vocabulary for each book and links to other books which contain the same subject matter. Some of these books have very mature themes and must be reviewed carefully and recommended to less sensitive, more mature readers.

The reviews were great. They led me to lists of books for middle schoolers, too.
