Reviewer Comments:

This resource is a link to a lecture by Bethany McLean, the investigative reporter, who wrote about the financial crisis in the book, All the Devils are Here. The lecture is interesting, and she clearly is an expert on the topic, however, it is definitely geared towards higher education students. To follow the lecture, it is important that students have background information about key concepts relating to the financial crisis. It might benefit students to create a viewing guide to focus on key issues covered in the talk.

As a learning object I feel that this was a little long. Especially for students who have already read through the book and know what the author was trying to convey through her writings. Not that is not say that Bethany did not have great things to say. I feel that despite its length she rounds out the book very well and gives insight as to why she felt it necessary to expose all the information from these companies. Her background knowledge shows that she really does understand the workings of the financial melting pot of corruption and craziness!
