Description:

This interactive Java learning tool allows a teacher to demonstrate and explore with students multiple equivalent expressions for two growing patterns: tiling around an n by n pool, or four arms of length x growing out from a central unit. Sliders provide selection choices among the five different solutions which correspond to different color-coded patterns. Check boxes provide options for displaying the expressions in terms of n (0-4), and an explanation for each expression.
