This publication by the US Department of Education is made up of fun activities that parents can use with children from preschool age through grade 5 to strengthen their math skills and build strong positive attitudes toward math. The activities are arranged into four categories: Mathematics in the Home, Mathematics at the Grocery Store, Mathematics on the Go and Mathematics for the Fun of It. For each activity, a grade span—from preschool through grade 5- suggests when children should be ready to try it.
