Description:

A standards-aligned secondary course. This collection includes eight units that cover the major content for a high school civics course. These curated resources will enable educators, parents, and students to quickly and easily find vetted materials that map to standards and learning objectives. All collections are available free to educators, students, and parents. The resources are aligned to the College, Career, and Civic Life C3 Framework for Social Studies State Standards. In the spirit of OERs, Curriki encourages educators and districts to adapt the materials to meet their own needs. The collection is designed to accommodate many different students’ learning styles and levels of comprehension. Each unit includes a suggested unit plan and recommendations for enrichment, ELD support, and flipped classrooms. The materials are sourced from a variety of websites and organizations including the Bill of Rights Institute, iCivics, Crash Course, Ted-Ed, the Library of Congress, the National Constitution Center, and Street Law.
