Square wheels on a bike? This riddle asks students how to ride such a device. Before they are asked to select their answer, students are given a clue. They read about and watch a video clip of two children's investigations with miniature square wheels. In this clue, the children note that it was easy to roll a square wheel up a flight of stairs. The riddle's final page presents students with three clickable answer choices. Brief feedback is given for the incorrect choices. When students select the best answer, a short video clip plays of a professor discussing and demonstrating the specially shaped track that he built on which square-wheeled bicycles ride perfectly. A link is also provided to the text-only version of the riddle. Copyright 2005 Eisenhower National Clearinghouse
