This site offers four categories of material about the Hubble Space Telescope: place, ideas, tools, and people. Diagrams, collections of images, readings, and interactive features fill the site, offering insight into the Hubble project and the scientific work that led up to it. Two of the ideas features--an annotated gallery of Hubble images and an article--explore what scientists are learning through Hubble about the universe and its origins. The tools section includes an interactive illustration of Hubble and an article about redshifts and the expanding universe. An article about Edwin Hubble, the telescope's namesake, is part of the people section, as are vignettes about a handful of Hubble's crew members. Archived webcasts about Hubble are also available.
