What is ethno-mathematics? The term describes the mathematical practices of identifiable cultural groups. This website presents a description of how various cultures of the past practiced math and applied it to architecture, calendars, and similar subjects essential to community. This fascinating site presents and intersection of history and mathematics, providing both a narrative and explanation of the past and an accessible explanation of the mathematics at work.
