Reviewer Comments:

This unique activity connects English with Math! Yes you read that correctly; this activity is an ingenious spin on scrabble. Concepts from base ten and arithmetic properties of real numbers to permutations and combinations are incorporated in this activity that explores a dictionary. Anagrams are connected to permutations: A word made by changing the order of the letters of another word. You can change the order of the letters in cat to get act. Palindromes are explored along with semordnilaps: If you read a word backward and get a different word, then the two words are semordnilaps; example: saw and was. The CRT feels that this activity would be well worth the time to learn the rules explained and incorporate into your teaching.
