Description:

Native species on keys often adapt to their small, isolated environment. Key deer, an endangered species only found in the Florida Keys, are less than half the size of their mainland cousins, white-tailed deer. These key deer are grazing near a small farm on Big Pine Key, Florida. The rooster, like most livestock on keys, is an introduced species.
