This is one in a series of Annenberg courses from "Learning Math" designed to teach mathematics content to elementary and middle school teachers. This course consists of 10, two-and-a-half hour sessions which explores the "big ideas" in algebraic thinking. Each session includes sequentially organized problems, video viewing (viewer must enable pop-ups from the learner.org site in order to link directly to the videos), interactive activities, readings, and homework. The materials may be used on your own, in a study group, or as a facilitated online course for graduate credit which is offered at a reasonable cost. Sessions One "Algebraic Thinking", Two "Patterns in Context" and Three "Functions and Algorithms" are cataloged separately.
