This lesson is part of the Empire collection. There are clear objectives and valuable resources that include an overview of the letter writing project and multiple handouts to help students prepare forwriting a letter to the United Nations. This is an interesting and well-organized culminating project, however, it is important to note that it emphasizes a particular perspective on European imperialism. It would be valuable to provide some information on other views and possibly allow students to have more freedom in completing the assignment.
