This lesson is part of the Empire collection. The lesson has clear objectives and detailed procedures with time allotments and all of the necessary resources. There are a few specific classroom references that could easily be changed to make this usable in any classroom. There is an excellent "Do Now" review of the previous lessons and then a great station activity that provides the students with opportunities to learn about the negative effects of imperialism on Africans. Each of the four stations has a one page reading and a different activity for the students to complete. Finally, there is a journal assignment for homework that asks students to take on the feelings of one person from the time period. Overall, a valuable lesson for students to gain a better understanding of the impact of imperialism.
