Description:

This module from the Marine Advanced Technology Education Center provides an introduction to microprocessor control systems and how they may be used to control Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles (ROVs). Students will learn to identify the main components of a microprocessor system, describe binary signaling levels representative of a binary 0 and binary 1, connect the Arduino controller to a laptop and download software and use sample programs for basic interfacing. A PowerPoint presentation of the lecture material is available for download.
