Description:

Perhaps Africa's most famous ecosystem is the savanna, which covers about 13 million square kilometers (5 million square miles) of the continent. Millions of wildebeest, also called gnus, are the most abundant "big game" species on the savanna, with millions of them migrating from Kenya's Massai-Mara game reserve to Tanzania's Serengeti National Park every year.
