Description:

This online activity lets learners test their ability to 'read' facial expressions. Learners watch videos that show different facial expressions, then choose which emotion they think is being expressed. When the learner chooses the correct emotion, they are presented with a list of the facial muscles that are used to produce that expression. This activity can be used by individuals, pairs and groups. It involves observation and can lead to developing documentation through photography, video and portrait drawing. The biology connections can lead to exploration of the musculature system.
