Description:

In this EDSITEment lesson, students use the Meet Amazing Americans Web site created by the Library of Congress to explore the lives of some celebrated Americans. Working in small groups, they complete a WebQuest, identifying facts and locating different types of information in order to determine the criteria used for selecting these Amazing Americans. In addition, they nominate their own candidates for the title of Amazing American, using additional Web sites to create a profile of their nominee.
