Reviewer Comments:

This activity puts students in the role of virtual archeologists as they locate Egypt, explore King Tut’s tomb, and decode hieroglyphics. Student expectations are clear and easily followed with an introduction, an overview of the tasks, and detailed instructions of each mission. Especially interesting is the virtual tour of King Tut’s tomb where the students are asked to explore the different rooms and identify the significance of three objects. A rubric is included, however, it needs to be reformatted to highlight the major categories for evaluation. Also, while there is a link to the hieroglyphic alphabet chart, the hieroglyphic message is not included and would need to be created by the teacher.
