Description:

As a laboratory activity to illustrate paleoecological techniques by counting pollen on slides representing six different time periods from a site in Idaho. Based on the class data,the students will be asked to interpret how the vegetation has changed at the site as the climate change over time and predict possible future vegetation patterns in response to climate change.
