Description:

Learners of almost any age can make and fly this simple, fun, paper bag kite, even on a day that's not windy! Learners discover the Bernoulli effect—how wind, or the movement of the person running with the kite, helps reduce air pressure above the kite, allowing the kite to rise even though it is heavier than air. Learners are also encouraged to modify the kite design, to test what happens if there are no streamers, if there are holes punched in the bag, or if the size of the bag is made larger or smaller.
