Description:

Patas monkeys can sprint from zero to 53 kilometers an hour (33 miles) in just three seconds. They have been known to reach speeds of 55 kilometers (34 miles) an hour, which makes them the fastest primates. Male patas monkeys run from predators at high speeds. They do this to distract the predator from the female and young patas monkeys.
