This neuropathology case study, provided by the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology, is an excellent learning tool for students and instructors in the health science fields. In this case, a 12-year-old boy presents with a history of headaches, âand a recent onset of right-sided seizures followed by the loss of consciousnessâ. Visitors are shown CT scan images of the patientâs brain, along with microscopic images. The official diagnosis found in the âFinal Diagnosisâ section is accompanied by a discussion of the contributing doctorâs findings and a list of references. This is an excellent resource for students in the health sciences to familiarize themselves with using patient history and laboratory results to diagnose patientâs conditions.
