Description:

This applet allows users to see how the equation form of Ohm's law relates to a simple circuit. They can adjust the voltage and resistance, and see the current change according to Ohm's law. The sizes of the symbols in the equation change to match the circuit diagram. Teaching ideas and activities are included. The direct link to the simulation is given as a mirror URL. This item also includes samples of learning goals and user-submitted ideas for instructional use. It has been designed using principles from physics education research and refined based on student interviews.
