Description:

This is an interactive simulation on the topic of periodic motion. Users can choose to work with one or two pendula to explore how the period of a pendulum is related to the length of the string, mass of the bob, and the amplitude of the swing. Included is a "photogate" timer to measure the period accurately. Friction and gravitational constant can also be controlled. This item is part of a larger and growing collection of resources developed by the Physics Education Technology project.
