This site informs students about the universe, its natural resources and its issues. Students are introduced to Earthman and His Pals who help students learn about the universe. By clicking on each Pal, students can meet them and hear a rhyme. Information is provided about clouds, the Earth and its layers, its size in comparison to the other planets, the food chain, ecology, precycling and recycling, and the story of Earth Day. A monthly magazine of fun and facts about our planet and everything in it is also found. Included are interactive pages, free activities, print and play projects, free contests, a bibliography of books, a dictionary of terms, a recycle symbol dictionary, and a list of ecology related groups for children. Suggestions are given for making crafts, Earth Day, America Recycles Day, and how this site could be used as a teaching tool. Included are lessons on paper making and paper mache. Students can print out 4 recycle kits, a planetpal puzzle, crossword puzzle, decode puzzle, free card game, and coloring pages. They can join Planetpals Kidsclub, send an email sticker or greeting, email their favorite Planetpal, and make a rhyme similar to one of the Planetpal's rhymes. Schools can email a class eco-project that can be posted on the site.
