Reviewer Comments:

Using this curriculum, groups of upper level high school students will create a 2 – 3 minute educational video of their choice. It is important to note that this lesson, as written, is intended for students who are “proficient in digital media creation” and have a “technological literacy above average.” This lesson has clear project requirements, excellent links and examples, and a detailed timeframe. Through the activity, students are introduced to open source and Creative Commons materials. They are encouraged to collaborate through Google Docs away from school. Since this lesson is intended for advanced learners, it is also necessary that both teachers and students have previous experience using storyboards, scripts and digital editing software.
